About your coach

Peter Clynes has always had a passion for keeping fit and sport.
After moving to Leeds in 1974 Peter played rugby for Headingley as well as pursuing a business career.
A bad injury stopped the rugby and Peter turned his attention to tennis and played in tournaments in the Yorshire area.
In 1998 Peter qualified as an LTA tennis coach and trained juniors at many of the larger clubs in Leeds as well as his own twin sons who now play for Cambridge and Oxford Universities.
In 1999 Peter was invited to take on the role of Head Coach at St Chad's and since that time has been able to help raise the profile of the club into a successful leading community tennis club and an LTA accredited mini tennis centre.
Peter and his team run extensive programmes offering coaching for juniors and adults from beginners to senior club team standard.
In 2004 Peter qualified as a fitness instructor and can now offer additional training and fitness courses. (
